Description
English: Meeting of Norwegian author Knut Hamsun and Reichskommissar Josef Terboven at Skaugum in German-occupied Norway during World War II in January, 1941. Tore Hamsun, son of Knut Hamsun, also attended the meeting; see [1]) and [2]. During the Nazi occupation, Terboven designated the Skaugum estate as his official residence in June 1940.
  • The photo was published online by the National Digital Archives in Poland (Narodowe Archiwum Cyfrowe) under a Public domain license, allowing copying, modification, distribution, and performance of the work, even for commercial purposes, without requiring permission.
  • Press photo retouched with paint for clarity in print.
