Slovenščina: Na našem sedmem 404¹ srečanju bo z nami z nami Erika Pogorelc. Izšolala se je za frizerko, pri 26-ih letih pa je ugotovila, da jo bolj kot sušilci za lase zanimajo računalniki. Vpisala se je na Fakulteto za računalništvo in informatiko ter se po dokončanem študiju za eno leto preselila v Kanado, po vrnitvi domov pa odkrila svojo strast do programiranja. Danes je zaposlena pri ameriški neprofitni organizaciji Peer 2 Peer University, kjer sodeluje z MIT, NYU, Mozillo in celo s Petrom Gabrielom.
Svoj prosti čas namenja mentorstvu na delavnicah Rails Girls in Django Girls. Vsak teden deli izkušnje tudi z nadebudnimi programerskimi mačkami v okviru skupine CodeCatz. Skupaj z njimi je zgradila spletno aplikacijo za letošnji evropski teden programiranja, s pomočjo katere se navdušenje nad programiranjem širi po vsej Evropi. [1] Zavod 404 je namenjen vsem ljubiteljem znanosti, tehnologije in tistim, ki jih radovednost nikoli ni zapustila. V okviru Zavoda se odvijajo študentski in dijaški projekti. V tem šolskem letu sodelujemo že s kar 6 slovenskimi gimnazijami in srednjimi šolami (Moste, Vič, Ledina, Poljane, Bežigrad in Kamnik), hkrati pa delamo tudi z najmlajšimi v okviru programerskih delavnic. |
